If you are looking for a quick way to verify the service pack and version applied to your SQL server instance, try the following T-SQL:
SELECT
SERVERPROPERTY('productversion') as productversion,
SERVERPROPERTY('productlevel') as productlevel,
SERVERPROPERTY('edition') as edition
